Information technology can be a strategic tool for addressing problems of poverty. While it cannot be a panacea for tackling problems of endemic poverty, IT can be a useful tool for improving the lives of the poor. The Government of Andhra Pradesh wishes to focus on using IT for providing a better life for the large number of poor in the State.
The Government has therefore assigned high priority to the use of IT in Agriculture, Irrigation, Education, Health and for delivery of other rural e-services.
