project
An important project, which will be very much
useful to the common man, is
to extend Broadband connectivity to
rural areas in order to provide on line services to citizens. Broadband project aims to provide 10Gbps
connectivity up to the Districts, 1 Gbps
connectivity to the Mandals and
at least 100 MBPS to the villages. The
establishment of an all IP network will make, it possible to deliver Cable
Television, Internet and Voice over IP services in rural areas. This will make Andhra Pradesh a front- runner among States in the Country.
In tandem with AP Broadband
Project, Rajiv Internet Village Project has also been taken up by IT & C
department which will help in establishing Electronics Kiosks in the Villages
to offer a wide range of on-line services to citizens.
Andhra Pradesh has been a
pioneer in e-procurement. The state has
achieved substantial savings by migrating tenders from manual system to
electronic system. APTS is striving to
give a distinct thrust to e-procurement by bringing in new platform for
procurement and will expand the services provided for on line purchase by
Government.
IT & C Department with
the assistance of APTS is in the process of implementing a unified gateway that
will permit seamless connectivity with departmental databases for delivery of
e-services through a large number of complimentary and computing channels .
APTS has played key role in
the last 18 years in educating the various Government Departments/Organizations
with the knowledge of IT like

has developed the indigenous KM-ATOM package.
It is a file management system
which helps in transforming the offices into paperless and transparent
offices. This is a very good tool for implementation of Right
to
Information Act.
In order to launch Andhra
Pradesh on a higher trajectory in the area of e-governance, Government of AP/IT & C Dept/APTS has strengthened the

shortly.
I have the privilege to be
the Chairman of APTS and I am happy to inform that the whole organization, Management and Employees are putting in their best efforts for the development
